The Company was founded in 1939 by Luigi Bertocchi, and from that time on is concentrated on the innovative projects, at firs in diagnostics ( X/ray stereographics of moving body) and medical care (incubators for newborns).

Soon after the end of the Second World War the first incubator in Italy, “Sweet Nest”, was designed and patented. And till now the Company specialize in designing, producing and selling the equipment for the neonatology and perinatology, especially in transport and stationary incubators.

During this period of more than 60 years many innovations, invented by us, were adopted later by our competitors.

For example, the incubators of Bertocchi always had the non-circulation air system, the ports had no rubber gaskets for best hygienic properties, and only now some competitors began to copy these ideas.

The incubators made in Bertocchi Company were the first incubators with incorporated electronic balance, and the tilt of the canopy by tilting the whole patient’s chamber, the advantage is that the tubes and probes move together with a baby.

The high degree of specialization became possible thanks continuous research and technological development under the leadership of Dr. Giacomo Bertocchi, the President of a Company from 1978, which effect the technicians of the Company in the collaboration with the most important medical centres in Italy and abroad.

For example, the Company organized the collaboration with the Institute of Obstetrics, gynaecology and perinatology of Moscow in the research of the transport of newborns of risk, an International  Italian- Russian Symposium in 1991.

The Head office and the plant are in Cremona (Italia). In Moscow there is a representative office, which makes technical service for the clients in Russia, CIS countries and East Europe.

The Company design and produce not only incubators, but other equipment, necessary for the newborn’s treatment:  resuscitation tables, cots, thermostatic cradles, phototherapy units, radiant warmers and other. The Bertocchi company also resell medical equipment of different kind: monitors, respirators, centrifuges and many others.

Year 2007: the transport incubator with a new modern transport ventilator was approved. In 2007 a project of a new model of bilirubinmeter – the modern instrument, with wide range of measurement, memory, good data presentation options, was completed.
