This is a portable, completly automatic instrument, which analyzes the level of bilirubin in the sub-cutaneous tissues of a newborn by measuring the colour characteristics of the skin. The method is non – invasive: the optical head is applied on the forehead of a baby, and the result appears immediately..

The measuring process lasts not more than 2 seconds. The result is the value of the bilirubin concentration in the blood, expressed in mg/dl or in μmol/l, as the operator’s choice.

• Doesn’t need daily calibration. The calibration must be checked every 4 month.
• Portable, low weight, real palm instrument.
• Power source: 3 AAA – type batteries.
• Always in stand-by mode, switches on automatically at the beginning od measuring process.
• SINGLE-USE MATERIALS ARE NOT NECESSARY.
• The optical head, which is in a contact with a baby, can be cleaned with any sterilyzing/desinfecting liquid, for example, alcohol
